Ayurveda means “Wealth of knowledge” on health sciences.

As per Ayurveda, Dinacharya is a daily routine that promotes self-care through different activities, viz., Walking, sleeping, working etc., by bringing in tune with nature, it regularises our own biological clock which lays the strong foundation for our health.

It is evident from the documents that there is very much similarity as per ayurvedic dietetics and traditional foods, that many of the traditional health foods in India can be called ayurvedic foods. These functional foods contain functional components viz., natural antioxidants, body healing properties (weight management, blood sugar level balance and support immunity of the body), dietary fibre pre and probiotics, which lays the foundation for contemporary Ayurveda. Foods taken in proper quantities provides strength, vigour, good complexion and nurtures the health from the cellular level of the tissues.

As per the Journal of Ethnic foods, traditional foods and their dietary guidelines that are prescribed in Ayurveda may help the health conscious citizens around the globe from the wealth of knowledge on traditional Indian and ayurvedic health foods of Indian origin.
